Using online dating sites are now an accepted way of meeting people, whether you are purely looking to increase your social circle and find people with similar tastes and interests to you or whether you are looking for romance – or even more! If you do decide to meet someone on a one-to-one basis, then of course you should employ all the common sense safety precautions you’d do normally such as meeting in a busy place and telling people where you are going etc. Sadly, meeting people online does not mean you’ll never meet an unscrupulous person again. The positive new is that online dating and friendship sites have spawned a great many marriages, babies and strong friendships, so if there is a space in your life, going online could be the answer.
