Its been a week today since the new M7 motorway was officially opened by our Prime Minister. At a cost of $1.5 billion dollars, it was the biggest engineering feat in western Sydney for 50 years.

As a resident of Campbelltown, I would like to say that after trying it out a few times this week, it was money well spent. Have included a few more photos to give you an idea of what it looks like.

From the start of the M7 at Prestons in Liverpool to the finish in Winston Hills took me 25 minutes. That was travelling at 90 to 100 kph. Represented by the yellow line on the map.

From a motorists point of view, this new tollway is fantastic. Trips across the outer Western Suburbs will now be done in half the time. You will have to pay… but its worth it.

I have only one complaint. There are no Service Stations for petrol and toilets. They have one on the M2… why not on the M7???
